A new name for what we're building
We started as AutopsyAI—a name that described what the product did: AI-powered autopsy documentation. It served us well. But as the platform grew beyond dictation into case management, template systems, real-time sync, and multi-role workflows, the name stopped fitting.
Locarda reflects where we're headed: a single platform that covers the full lifecycle of medicolegal death investigation—from intake through case closure. The name is new. The mission is the same.
What's changed
- The name: AutopsyAI → Locarda
- The App Store listing has been updated
- The website is now locarda.com
- A new logo and visual identity
The product has also gotten significantly better since launch. Recent additions include:
- Body diagram annotations—mark findings directly on anatomical diagrams during examination
- A new look—redesigned interface built for long sessions at the table
- Optimized workflow—faster dictation, smarter section routing, and smoother case management end to end
What hasn't changed
Everything that matters. The product, the team, your data, your cases, your templates—all intact. If you're an existing user, the app updates automatically. No migration needed. No action required.
Our mission remains the same: reduce the documentation burden on forensic professionals so they can focus on the work that matters.
